ok, due to my obvious lack of updating, this will just have to be a snapshot of the events that happened in OCF flinders this year...
Orientation at the beginning of the year... can't believe 8 months have passed since ![]() Joel and me at the Pear Orchard, seems like we are gonna make the trip there an annual event. Thanks to all the uncles and aunties (they don't call them that here btw) who have been so hospitable ![]() the food at Joel's surprise birthday party - the usual potluck galore. glad it helped chased his homesickness away ![]() our outreach orientation event - Cockling at Goolwa. The sun was out, the water cool. It was simply perfect =) ![]() basically all you do is get down and dirty, dig like your life depends on it ![]() and then, poof! you find a cockle! =) ![]() then u let the cockles soak in sea water overnight so they will puke out all the sand and you cook them! thanks Raymond for opening up your beautiful house for the night so we could eat fresh cockles! ![]() i wonder what i was doing... ![]() for ecamp this year, we went to this campsite near Victor Harbour. can't quite remember what the name was ![]() it had this nice outdoor chapel which all the bible study groups fought to use for early morning devotions ![]() the above pic is a lil dark so here is another pic of my wonderful group - 'Lydia', with Auntie Merrilyn. yes... i think Patrick arranged the groupings on purpose ![]() patrick and myself, just before he got hit with flour ![]() danwin is a really tall guy but you can't tell in this photo where the 2 of us are happily enjoying the apple crumble for dessert. this camp had good food i must say ![]() the flinders group ![]() all the camp participants ![]() we were thinking Charlie and his angels... obviously Max is Charlie ![]() Pat and Sarah, 2 girls i've gotten to know this yr ![]() Andrew - my successor, this OZ guy whose mum is one of our advisors. ![]() Lydia and Elizabeth(?) Our 2 groups joined together for the skit, in which I totally destroyed my reputation with my bimbo act. I really do wish to get the video before it gets circulated... ![]() I guess great minds think alike - the 4 lyds of the camp ![]() As you can see, the campsite has awesome views. Too bad i've yet to get the sunrise pics from my friend. Janice and Pat are here with me ![]() "she ain't heavy, she's my friend" Betty ,who is always treating me like im her personal doll ![]() ok... guess thats enough for today... will post more soon (i hope =P) 3:46 PM

hi everyone, i know i've been terrible at updating my photos, but here are just some videos i took at the Hillsong Conference. Just so to share with everyone what the experience was like! Here is Israel Houghton performing live at Hillsongs 07. When he and New Breed come on stage, the whole place just get on fire~
The following are just some clips of the closing ceremony, courtesy of Hillsong Dance team. As you can see, I got a privileged view of the stage. I loved the opening ceremony but I was too awed to remember my cam =P Here is a typical worship session at the conference. We had this 4 times a day, 4 days in a row, lasting approximately 1/2hr each time. This was the very last session hence the falling pieces of paper. Kudos to all the volunteers who had to stay back and pick them all up! 3:14 PM

these are some memoirs of the trip we took at Barossa valley, the darling of South Australia. All you wine-lovers, this is a place you won't want to miss.
![]() This pic reminded me of the verse: John 15:5"I am the vine, you are the branches..." Truly, we are nothing apart from Jesus ![]() Cheers! ![]() John, the tour guide whom I made friends with. He is 65 years old and uses MSN! =) ![]() ![]() Above: qin and me Below: the whole gang from the village who went for the trip in front of one of the wineries ![]() pillar-hugging girls ![]() can you find Singapore? ![]() ![]() World's largest rocking horse. There was a picture of me sitting on a miniature one, but I decided against posting it to save my reputation. ![]() ![]() Had lunch there. Its a toy factory, but guess what, the toys all had "Made in China" stamped on them. Lol. ![]() The whispering wall. Pretty cool stuff - you whisper on one side and the other person at the other end of the wall can hear you. Something to do with the acoustics of the curvature. ![]() Renee and myself, bracing against the wind. At this wildlife park - Australia is full of them: ![]() This little billy goat thought my camera was food. ![]() ![]() Ain't these 3 guinea pigs cute? ![]() Do you have any idea how hard it was to take this picture? This peacock was so shy and wouldn't show off his feathers whenever we got near him. ![]() At a memorial... ![]() posing... although it looks like i have a tummy =P ![]() and posing somemore! A sneak to how 'flat' Adelaide is. 10:52 AM

although I admit Adelaide is a pretty boring place, it does have many pretty sceneries and one such place is victor harbor, which is approximately 4hr (? can't remember =P) away from the city.
taken sometime along the ride... clouds are pretty there ![]() i like this bench. u cud just sit here the whole day to enjoy the view without a care in the world ![]() why can't our sea be as gorgeous as this? ![]() i believe we did take gp photos, but its all stuck somewhere in dennis' stockpile of photos ![]() dan - the guy who organized the trip, being very sporting in posing for us. thanks guy! hez this wonderful person who has such a big heart for us international students. carry on shining for Christ! ![]() climbing to the top of the world!(yea right...) ![]() my lack of stature is further emphasized by the size of these boulders ![]() i asked dan and rach to pose for me. its like 2 strangers admiring the same view, so near yet so far... ![]() the little island is called granite island, where you can see fairy penguins. unfortunately we got there too late so it was too dark to see anything but we did spot a few and boy are they kawaii! ![]() wildflowers in aust look nothing like the ones back home ![]() it was springtime and victor harbor is very windy ![]() i like this photo with the sun rays shining through. ![]() it seems like a i've got a thing for boulders ![]() have you ever seen the sky so pretty? ![]() 3:33 PM |
